List of patches Heredis 2026

Following the release, Heredis is in your hands. Thousands of genealogists are discovering the latest version. This is why we release an update a few weeks after the initial launch of a new application.

The purpose of this update is to fix issues that could not be detected during our beta testing phases. This is the list of the improvements for the 2026 version.

Patch n°1

Windows & macOS

GEDCOM

• SPFX tag management for correct import/export of particles
• Support for B.C. format for negative dates
• Import – Location coordinates: management of cases where the sending software uses a comma instead of a period as the decimal separator
• Dates – Use of the “sevent” format for the month of September (format used by other software)

Other

• Timelines: display of historical events that occurred before the person’s birth
• Historical Facts: date format
• Historical Facts: the media now adapts to the summary panel, without any more horizontal scrolling
• FamilySearch: missing translation in the connection window

Windows

• Smart Search > Manage saved search models: « Default models » button did not work
• Improvement of Spanish translations
• Surnames Index: adding a variant changed the modification date of the bearers of the selected name and the added variant
• Slideshow: fix of crash at launch

macOS

• Immediate Family: on Tahoe, problem with the design of the borders of the parent and grandparent boxes
• Data > Personal Data > Events > Media Tab: on Tahoe, the button bar was inactive
• Improvement of Spanish translations

iOS

• In the Media component of the person, PDFs appeared in the “Pictures” category instead of the “Others” category, which prevented them from being opened in an external application.
• Improvement of Spanish translations.

Android

• Improvement of Spanish translations.
