To be prepared for such an event, we advise that you save your work on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p>How to back up your work: see the article <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/save-a-genealogy-file-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to save your file?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To check that the problem is not with your file, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/check-a-genealogy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check a genealogy<\/a> function.<\/p>\n<p>If your genealogy is sound, you can easily reset the application.<\/p>\n<p>Resetting your application preferences might be an easy way to solve potential anomalies.<\/p>\n<p>There are two modes you can use to reset your preferences: Simple Mode and Comprehensive Mode.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Reset &#8211; Simple Mode:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1. Often, firewalls and antiviruses are too uncompromising and block Heredis. It can provoque white pages while trying to activate Heredis&#8217; licence, blocking the installation of the software&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Check that the antivirus\/firewall installed on your computer or embedded in your internet box does not block Heredis. If so desactivate it while installing Heredis and autorize Heredis to access the network, tell those software that Heredis is trustworthy.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>(Windows) You have a black screen when lauching Heredis or when using a functionality?<\/h3>\n<p>On the Home page offering &#8220;Try&#8221;, &#8220;Buy&#8221; and &#8220;Login&#8221;, click on &#8220;Try&#8221; then follow the steps :<\/p>\n<p>1 &#8211; Click on <strong>Tools -&gt; Preferences -&gt; Heredis Preferences -&gt; Advanced<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; Click on the option <strong>Deactivate hardware acceleration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3 &#8211; Quit Heredis and relaunch it<\/p>\n<p>4 &#8211; Now, click on <strong>Login<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u200b<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/heredis.zendesk.com\/attachments\/token\/5sDUP64nCcohGurUzJ2EcONol\/?name=inline1066424924.png\" data-original-height=\"871\" data-original-width=\"1186\" data-image-uuid=\"1578468973922\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like with any other software, a technical issue may arise.
