{"id":18221,"date":"2020-06-26T10:42:38","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T08:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/?p=18221"},"modified":"2020-06-26T10:42:38","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T08:42:38","slug":"any-concern-or-issue-when-sharing-with-heredis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/any-concern-or-issue-when-sharing-with-heredis\/","title":{"rendered":"Any concern or issue when sharing with Heredis?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are experiencing a problem with the <strong>Share on local network<\/strong> feature, please proceed using the following steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><br \/>\nOn your main computer:<br \/>\n&#8211; you have installed the Heredis application AND you have an updated version of your genealogy file that you wish to share.<\/p>\n<h3>Windows<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Check the following items before starting to share:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On your main computer:\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the Heredis application has only been launched once. It shouldn&#8217;t appear more than once in the list of running applications.<\/li>\n<li>Launch the Task Manager (press CTRL ALT DELETE on your keyboard).<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the antivirus\/firewall installed on your computer or included in the settings of your wireless router does not block the Heredis application.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure Bonjour services are enabled (some Windows updates disable these services which allow your computer to communicate with other devices such as your printer or phone).
