The different available indicators, whether quan\u00adtitative or qualitative, give you a global vision of your genealogical data and also inform you about the progress of your work.<br \/>\nThe dashboard can be accessed from the <strong>Tools &gt; My Dashboard<\/strong> menu. You can also add the <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-392\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/128-tableau-de-bord.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" \/>\u00a0button to your toolbar if customized. (See <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/customize-heredis-2\/#toolbar\" rel=\"noopener\">Customize Heredis\\Select the toolbar<\/a>)<br \/>\nIt consists of four tabs: <strong>My Dashboard<\/strong>, <strong>File Info<\/strong>, and <strong>Statistics<\/strong> in which Heredis displays indicators, also called widgets, presenting the current state of your family tree.<\/p>\n<h3>My Dashboard Tab<\/h3>\n<p>When you access the dashboard, it opens directly on the <strong>My Dashboard<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p>This tab is customizable, you can add widgets of your choice, delete those that do not interest you or reorganize them.<\/p>\n<p>To add one or more widgets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1140\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/16-plus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the widget you\u2019re interested in<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>add<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em style=\"text-align: center;\">My dashboard<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-816 size-full alignnone\" style=\"text-align: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/dashboard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"987\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The widgets are added after those already on your <strong>dashboard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To remove a widget, click the\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-817\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/suppWidget-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/>\u00a0button in the title of the widget. A notification informs you instantly that you have removed the widget from the tab. To see it again, just click the<strong> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1140\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/16-plus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/strong>\u00a0button to display the widget.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: You can also add or remove a widget from the other tabs of the dashboard. You can choose your favorite widget. Click on the grey star\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-401\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/etoile-grise.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/> to add the widget. The star is now yellow <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-400\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/etoile-jaune.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/>, if you click again, it will be removed.<\/p>\n<p>To rearrange the widgets to suit you, click on the widget banner and without releasing the mouse, drag it to the desired location and then release the mouse.<\/p>\n<p>Heredis automatically reorganize your dashboard space even if you resize the window.<br \/>\nIf you wish to, you can display all widgets in the <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p>The information displayed in the dashboard is by default your entire file, such as the title at the top of the page, as well as the data added today (see example, in the PERSONS widget, the indication \u00abRecently Added\u00bb).<br \/>\nTo change these options, click the cogwheel button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-402\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/roue.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/>\u00a0at the top right of the page and select the filters that best fit your way of working:<br \/>\n\u2022 Filters showing recent additions: Today \/ Less than a week ago \/ There is less than one Month \/ Less than a year ago.<br \/>\n\u2022 Filters on persons: Entire file \/ Direct line ancestors\/ Ancestry.<br \/>\nThen click on the <strong>Validate<\/strong> button, all widgets in the dashboard are updated based on the options you have chosen.<\/p>\n<p>The widgets have a simple view and a detailed view. From the simple view, click the <strong>Detail<\/strong> button at the top left to display the detail view. From the detail view, to return to the simple mode, click the <strong>Back<\/strong> but\u00adton on the top left.<\/p>\n<p>Some widgets like NAMES or SOURCES do not have a detailed view. However, you can directly access their respective indexes by clicking the <strong>Open<\/strong> <strong>the index<\/strong> button. This allows you to easily find additional information.<\/p>\n<h4>Simple widgets<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Simple view of the Source widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1321 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/source_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"441\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Widgets in simple view display a limited amount of information. Their size is variable based on what you display. They feature a button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-397\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/btn-xport.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/>to export the contents of the widget displayed in PDF or PNG format.<br \/>\n<strong>Info<\/strong> \u2022 Note that as you hover over certain widgets, you have more accurate information. For the widget NAMES for example, when you pass the mouse over a surname, it immediately displays the number of times it has been used in your family tree.<\/p>\n<h4>Detailed widgets<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Detailed view of the Person&#8217;s widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1582 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/detailed_widget_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1886\" height=\"930\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The detailed version of a widget displays additional information about the current status of your family tree.<br \/>\nEach detailed version widget can be exported to PDF through the PDF button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16199\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Button_Export_PDF_Dashboard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"27\" height=\"23\" \/>. You can then print or transmit it very easily.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you are working with a large screen or with two screens, you can keep the dashboard open constantly in order to control the progress of your family tree in real time.<br \/>\nWhen you add a data, click the refresh button\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-403\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/refresh2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"17\" height=\"17\" \/> to update your dashboard and have the latest information entered in your file.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>File Information Tab<\/h3>\n<p>From this tab, you have an overview of persons, events, sources, places, surnames, given names, occupations, media of your file as well as your Heredis Online data. This general view allows you to know how far you are in your work.<\/p>\n<p>To access this page from the dashboard, click the <strong>File Information<\/strong> button or select the menu <strong>Documents &gt; File Information<\/strong> or, if you personalized your toolbar, click directly on the <strong>File Info<\/strong>\u00a0button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-396\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/126-information-du-fichier.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"28\" \/>.<\/p>\n<h4>BIRTHDAYS<\/h4>\n<p>Starting with Heredis 2025, Heredis informs you of upcoming birthdays and today&#8217;s birthdays of persons assumed to be alive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Be sure to set consistency in Heredis\u2019 Preferences for maximum males and females deaths. Do not exceed 120 years, otherwise you will no longer have any inconsistencies in the event of typos. See the article on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/heredis-preferences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heredis\u2019 Preferences<\/a> in the paragraph on the Consistency tab.<\/p>\n<p>If not already present in your toolbar, add the <strong>File Informations<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-396\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/126-information-du-fichier.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"27\" \/>.<br \/>\nThe icon changes its appearance and takes the shape of a cake <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-53025\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/AnniversaireWarning3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" \/>when there are birthdays today. The number indicates the number of birthdays on the day, so it varies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Info<\/strong>: the icon refreshes every 4 hours if the file is open. So, if you modify a date to set today&#8217;s date as the date of birth of a person assumed to be alive, the icon won&#8217;t change until 4 hours later.<\/p>\n<p>To access the <strong>Birthdays<\/strong> widget, click on the<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the File Informations icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-396\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/126-information-du-fichier.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"27\" \/>or <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-53025\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/AnniversaireWarning3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" \/> in the toolbar<\/li>\n<li>or on the <strong>Tools &gt; File informations<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-53954\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/widget_anniversaire2_pc-en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/widget_anniversaire2_pc-en.jpg 371w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/widget_anniversaire2_pc-en-257x300.jpg 257w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on a person&#8217;s name to navigate to the Family tab and view their information.<\/p>\n<h4>HEREDIS ONLINE Widget<\/h4>\n<p>To view the content of this widget, you must be logged in to your account. If you already have an account, click on <strong>Sign in <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13136\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/99-hol_gerer_compte.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/> <\/strong>button and enter your username and password otherwise, create one. (see the article &#8220;Heredis Online&#8221;)<br \/>\nOnce connected to your account, this widget displays the date of the last publication of your file. You can access it directly by clicking the link \u201c<strong>Visit Website<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>You can see it has been a while since the last publication? You can publish at any time from the dashboard by clicking the <strong>Publish<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>The detailed view shows you some new information. The first section shows you what you have recently be done on the open file: the last time you published it, the number of persons, of unions, of sources it contains.<\/p>\n<p>All sections are foldable, just click on the title banner of the section to hide or display it.<\/p>\n<p>For more details on Heredis Online, see <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/heredis-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heredis Online<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/en\/publish-on-heredis-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Publish with Heredis Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>DEVELOPMENT OF MY FAMILY TREE widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Simple view of Development of my family tree<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1067 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/development_of_family_tree_pc_EN-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"368\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This widget shows you the evolution of your file in time:<br \/>\n&#8211; The date when you started your work, referring to the first person you created or imported in Heredis.<br \/>\n&#8211; The date of the last modification<br \/>\n&#8211; The number of ancestors (direct line) and persons found.<\/p>\n<p>In the detailed view, a first chart shows the evolution of the number of ancestors and persons on a fixed time scale. The second chart shows the same data but on a variable time scale based on the date of the establishment of the persons in your file.<br \/>\nYou can also check in this view 2 lists of persons, the list of the 10 last persons you added, and the one of the 10 last persons modified.<br \/>\nBy clicking on these persons, you navigate on them in the Immediate Family.<\/p>\n<h4>PERSONS widget<\/h4>\n<p>This widget shows the total number of persons in your file and those added recently.<br \/>\nIn the simple display, a graph shows the distribution of persons by gender.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Simple view of the Persons&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1319 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/persons_widget_EN_pc.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By entering the detailed mode, you can access:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The \u00ab<strong>Progress<\/strong>\u00bb chart, which informs you about the quality of your family tree and in particular on the percentage of complete persons.<br \/>\n\u201c3\u201d is for the persons with the 3 main events completed, meaning you found the birth, marriage and death dates.<br \/>\n\u201c2\u201d is for persons with only 2 main events completed<br \/>\n\u201c1\u201d is for the persons for whom you completed 1 main event<br \/>\n\u201c0\u201d is for the person for whom you have not found any event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The notion of complete is directly related to Heredis\u2019 preferences. From the menu <strong>Heredis&gt;Preferences&gt; Appearance<\/strong>, define what a complete event is for you. Heredis will then take these parameters into the \u00ab<strong>Progress<\/strong>\u00bb chart to determine if an event is complete or not.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To the general information that will allow you to easily answer questions on your family history: who is the oldest person or the youngest among your comtemporaries? Who had the longest or shortest life? Who was the youngest or the oldest when they got married? Which couple had the largest family&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every section is foldable, just click on the title banner of the section to hide or display it.<\/p>\n<h4>EVENTS widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Simple view of Event&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1320 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/events_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The simple version displays the total number of events, the total number of major events and the total number of family events.<br \/>\nThe detailed version offers a zoom on the major events and displays in addition to the total number, the oldest event and the most recent event. For each event you can browse the person concerned with a single click.<\/p>\n<h4>SOURCES widget<\/h4>\n<p>The Simple Source Widget presents, in addition to the total number of sources and those recently added, a ring graph that allows you to analyze the quality of your sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Simple view of Sources&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1321 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/source_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"441\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this graph, we distinguish sources without media nor note, sources having only a note, sources with only media, and sources with a note and media.<br \/>\nTo access the list of all your sources, click the button <strong>Open the index<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>PLACES Widget<\/h4>\n<p>In this widgets, the frequency is shown by a word cloud. In this type of representation, the most commonly used places, for example, are displayed with a font size which varies according to the number of uses. When hovering with the mouse, an info bubble indicates the number of uses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Places widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1322 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/places_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"747\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you click on a place, Heredis opens the Index with this selected place and displays all information on it.<br \/>\nThe Place widget also indicates the total number of places in your file and the places that were not geolocated (places without latitude and longitude information).<br \/>\nYou can directly access the dictionaries by clicking on the button <strong>Open the index<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>NAMES, GIVEN NAMES, OCCUPATIONS and MEDIA widgets<\/h4>\n<p>These widgets indicate the frequency of given names and occupations, as well as the number of uses in the genealogy file.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Names, Given names and Occupations&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1323 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/names_occupations_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1128\" height=\"439\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the Names, Given Names, and Occupations widget, the frequency is represented by a word cloud, just like for Places.<br \/>\nThe Media widget\u00a0 is a ring-shaped chart indicating used and unused media. For all of these widgets, you can directly access the indexes by clicking on the\u00a0<strong>Open the index\u00a0<\/strong>button.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Statistics tab<\/h3>\n<p>In this tab, Heredis offers various genealogical and demographic ana\u00adlysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Statistics&#8217; tab<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1069 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/stats_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1128\" height=\"898\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To access this function, from the dashboard, click the <strong>Statistics<\/strong> but\u00adton or select the <strong>Documents &gt; Statistics<\/strong> menu or click on the statistics button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-395\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/117-statistiques.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" \/>directly from the toolbar, if you personalized it.<\/p>\n<p>The different analysis available are grouped into several widgets, <strong>Births and Deaths<\/strong>, <strong>Surnames and Given names<\/strong>, <strong>Families<\/strong> <strong>and Generation count<\/strong>&#8230;<br \/>\nIn the simple version, these widgets present a simplified graph on births \/ deaths, the most common surnames, the average age at the first union and the ancestors count of the root person or the central person of your file.<br \/>\nYou can easily export each chart displayed in PDF or PNG format by clicking on button\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-397\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/btn-xport.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/> located in the title bar, to share it or document your genealogical work.<\/p>\n<p>In the detailed version, each widget gathers different analyzes and displays the graphs and data tables associated with them.<\/p>\n<p>In order to use this data outside Heredis you can:<br \/>\n\u2022 export all the charts and data tables of the widget by clicking on the button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16199\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Button_Export_PDF_Dashboard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"27\" height=\"23\" \/>, located in the title bar of the widget. Heredis dis\u00adplays an overview of the widget you can save to PDF.<br \/>\n\u2022 export a specific data table by clicking Details then on the button <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16209\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Button_Export_Excel_Dashboard.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"25\" \/>\u00a0in the title bar of the data table. Heredis suggests that you save this data in Excel format on your computer. You can then analyze them using your spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<h4>BIRTHS and DEATHS widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Births and Deaths&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1325 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/births_and_deaths_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This widget contains the following analyses: distribution of births and deaths, life span and census.<br \/>\nYou can choose between one display per period with different pos\u00adsible intervals or one display by month according to what you want to highlight from your analysis.<\/p>\n<p>In the Census widget, Heredis displays the number of persons who have lived in each period, based on their main events of birth and death on the one hand and the maximum age at death of the general preferences of Heredis on the other.<\/p>\n<h4>ANCESTORS ORIGIN widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Ancestors Origin&#8217;s widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1326 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/ancestors_origins_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"435\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This widget allows you to visualize the distribution by country, state\/province, and county of the persons in your genealogy.<\/p>\n<p>If you have selected <strong>Entire File<\/strong> as the Scope, the analysis will include every single person in your file. You can choose to narrow it down to the ancestors of the root person or of the primary person in your genealogy by setting the Scope to <strong>Direct-line Ancestors<\/strong> or <strong>Ancestors<\/strong>. To modify this option, click on the cogwheel in the upper right corner.<\/p>\n<p>In the simple view widget, Heredis groups the persons according to their place of birth and displays a ring graph showing the most representative data by country, state\/province or county.<\/p>\n<p>If you click on the <strong>Detail<\/strong> button, Heredis will provide a full analysis by country, state\/province and county along with a table indicating the number of persons found and the start\/end years for the Period of appearance.<\/p>\n<h4>AGE GAPS widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Age Gaps&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1327 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/age_gaps_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This statistical analysis focuses on the age difference between spouses and on the age gap between siblings in your genealogy. Just like in the previous widget, the scope of persons included in this analysis is set by you in the General Options of the dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>In Simple view, Heredis displays a line chart showing the average age difference between spouses.<br \/>\nIn Detail view, this same line chart is displayed along with a table filled with matching data and with another chart showing the average age gap between the first and last born among siblings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: These charts only include couples with a minimum of one union entered with a date (Marriage, Religious Marriage, or other type of official marriage) and marital unions with at least two children properly entered with a date of Birth or Christening.<br \/>\nThe default analysis interval is set to 50 years but you are free to modify this interval if you wish to adjust the data displayed in the charts and tables.<\/p>\n<h4>SURNAMES and GIVEN NAMES widget<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Surnames and given names&#8217; widget<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1328 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/surnames_given_names_stats_widget_pc_EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"366\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This widget provides you with a distribution of the most common surnames and given names of your genealogy that you can filter by gender.<br \/>\nOn the graph, Heredis displays a selection of surnames, the most common given names and regroups all the others in the category \u00abOther\u00bb. Everyone, in their family tree, has a real number of ascendants that is lower than the theoretical number of ascendants because we descend several times from a same person because of marriages between more or less close cousins, we are then in the presence of a case of duplicate branches.
