What should you do when you encounter Bonjour messages?<\/p>\n<h3>Heredis cannot detect your remote devices (phone, tablet, printer).<\/h3>\n<p>Make sure the Bonjour service is enabled in your Windows system. The latest Windows 10 updates tend to disable this service. Yet Bonjour is the application that allows your computer to communicate with remote or removable devices such as your USB key, your mobile phone, your printer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>To enable Bonjour:<br \/>\n&#8211; press CTRL ALT DELETE on your keyboard<br \/>\n&#8211; choose Task Manager<br \/>\n&#8211; click on the Services tab<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17736\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_pc-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"667\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_pc-1.png 667w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_pc-1-300x268.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; select the Bonjour Service line and right click on it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17739\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_service-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"668\" height=\"596\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_service-1.png 668w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/task_manager_service-1-300x268.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 668px) 100vw, 668px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If it is disabled, click <strong>Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>\u201cThe Bonjour service is not installed on your computer\u2026\u201c?<\/h3>\n<p>1. Download the software Bonjour to enable automatic discovery of all your computers and devices, the Apple Bonjour networking service must be installed on your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Download the free application from the Apple web site: <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/DL999?\">http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/DL999?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After you have installed this service on your computer, you will be able to synchronize your Heredis file to all the different devices which are connected to your local network.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13992\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/2020-01-08_08h56_00.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"757\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/2020-01-08_08h56_00.png 1440w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/2020-01-08_08h56_00-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/2020-01-08_08h56_00-768x404.png 768w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/2020-01-08_08h56_00-1024x538.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. Open the <strong>Downloads<\/strong> folder in Windows Explorer or in your web browser and double click the downloaded file entitled <em>BonjourPSSetup.exe.<\/em><br \/>\n3. Click <strong>Run<\/strong> to start the installation.<br \/>\n4. Once the installation of Bonjour is complete, quit Heredis, then restart Heredis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Bonjour service is installed but you are still getting this message?<\/h3>\n<p>1. Check your Bonjour version number using <em>Control Panel \/ Programs \/ Programs and features<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17742\" src=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/control_panel-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"997\" height=\"711\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/control_panel-1.png 997w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/control_panel-1-300x214.png 300w, https:\/\/help.heredis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/control_panel-1-768x548.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 997px) 100vw, 997px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. If your version number is earlier than the 2.0 version, uninstall Bonjour, then download and install the latest available version.<br \/>\n3. Restart Heredis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>The correct version of Bonjour is installed but you are still getting this message?<\/h3>\n<p>1. Open Windows <strong>Task Manager<\/strong>: on the Windows taskbar, right click in an empty area and choose <strong>Start Task Manager<\/strong> from the pop-up menu.<br \/>\n2. Choose <strong>Bonjour Service<\/strong> and make sure that the status is \u00ab Running \u00bb.<br \/>\nIf it is not, click the Services\u2026 button at the bottom.
